MAXXIS British Round 1
Round 1 of the British Motocross Championship rolled into Fatcats Motopark at Doncaster the weekend. Weather conditions were very different from last weeks mudfest!
The track was very demanding, being very sandy, very bumpy and very rough, it really was an iron man event!
The Apico Suzuki pit area was very impressive, with many people making the most of the fantastic hospitality on offer.
Lewis Gregory was missing from the lineup due to the concussion sustained in hawkstone. It was down to Luke Hawkins and Damon Strydom to negotiate the track and get some points on the board.
Qualifying was very frustrating for both riders and getting a clear lap was extreamely difficult. With 10 riders being seperated by less than 1 second, Luke finished in 22nd and Damon in 37th.
As the track got rougher the Apico Suzuki riders results improved, with Luke finishing 19th overall and Damon notching a 26th and 24th.

A difficult day at a difficult track. We have a 2 week break before the second round of the British Masters at Culham. The team will be fully focused on improving with the riders looking to push into the top 3.

Difficult day on a difficult track. Each week i'm improving and i'm looking forward to Culham.
Luke Hawkins MX2
A frustrating day for me. The track was tough and getting some points on the board was a plus.

EDMONDS TO RIDE SUPERCROSS FOR APICO SUZUKI TEAM
